It is great fun to wander around the main tourist area down by the seafront at night. It is busy and there are night markets, music, tattoos, hair braiding ... lots of things to see and buy. On the Avenue de la Mer and around the indoor market square, you will find lots of bars and cafes, that aIl accept children.

Bars to watch sky sports in!

 

The Melanie Bar in st jean town has a beer garden and games for the kids andsky sports for the dads!

 

L'Alambic

 

Rock café/Tex Mex/Pizzeria on Avenue de la Mer. Great burgers and fajitas, children more than wel come.

 

Casino St Jean de Monts

 

You can go and try your luck on the poker machines and roulette tables and have a drink at the same time. On the seafront, the casino has a new look and you don't have to dress up to get in. Children not allowed.

 

The Art Café

 

On the seafront at st jean, a bar and café which shows local artists on the walls. Lovely owners, chic and relaxing, not for children.

 

 

There are heaps oflittle cafes and bars on the Avenue de la Mer, so go and people watch !

Through out the summer, there are music festivals, fireworks and even films on the beach. Ask at the office de tourisme for details.

 

Don't forget that the gates close at night and so if you are out lare, you will haveto park outside the campsite.

 

There are also several night clubs in and around the area.

 

There is a taxi service in St Jean if you need one for a night out.
